Production area

In the heart of the province of Chieti, between the Maiella National Park and the Adriatic Sea.

Land

Hilly, with an average altitude of 230 meters above sea level, mainly clayey limestone.

Period of marketing

It is established by the oenologist in relation to the optimal characteristics of the product. In any case, not before the month of April / May of the year following that of vinification.

Vinification and aging

Traditional in red with maceration of the skins at a controlled temperature in stainless steel vats.

Organoleptic characteristics

Ruby red. Intense aromas of ripe fruit, with herbaceous hints and fine spicy notes. Harmonious taste with sweet and velvety tannins, of good persistence.

Food pairings

Appetizers, first courses in red sauce, meat-based second courses, semi-aged cheeses.
