ABOUT CERASUOLO WINE Cerasuolo is the other color of the Montepulciano grape wine: its pink version, obtained from the same grapes, but from a much shorter and more delicate contact between must and skins. In Abruzzo the Montepulciano grape has found its development, its beauty and the ability to give pleasant qualitative expressions also in the Cerasuolo typology. The wine combines the delicacy and freshness of white wines with the strength and power of reds. The name derives both from the Abruzzese "Cirasce" and from the Neapolitan "Cerasa" but also from the ancient Greek "Cherasion", which mean "Cherry" to recall the color of this small fruit.
