The vine is a close relative of Dolcetto, from which it differs in the red stem, the smaller bunch and the thicker skin, but Ormeasco offers sweeter tannins and a longer life than its cousin Dolcetto. It can reach the word Superiore if aged for one year and with a minimum natural alcohol content of 12.5% vol. On the contrary it can be vinified partially in white, reaching a pink color as for the Ormeasco Sciac-trà (in Ligurian dialect it literally crushes and pulls). Characteristics Coral pink colour. Vinous nose, delicate with hints of wild berries and cherry, pleasant and characteristic. Dry, fresh, harmonic, soft and light flavour. How to serve and store It is served at a temperature of 12°C in goblet glasses with medium stems. It must be kept lying down in the red wine compartments of the cellar, at a constant temperature between 11 and 14° C
