Menhir is a liqueur sweet wine, with a small addition of alcohol, son of the island of Pantelleria. It is obtained from the Zibibbo variety which contains everything this splendid island contains: sun, volcanic earth, warm African winds. The grapes, after being dried in the sun, are left to macerate in the must during the entire fermentation which is blocked with a small addition of alcohol.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT: “Pantelleria” Protected Designation of Origin DPR 11.08.1971 – GU 239 of 22.09.1971 VARIETY: Moscato D'Alessandria in purity ALCOHOL CONTENT: 15% vol RESIDUAL SUGAR: 14% VINIFICATION: The grapes which are generally harvested after mid-August, it is left to dry naturally in the sun on special racks near lava stone walls. Fermentation takes place by macerating the raisins obtained, in the must of fresh extra-ripe grapes generally harvested in September, blocking the fermentation with the addition of alcohol REFINEMENT: In the bottle for at least 3 months FORMATS: 50 cl bottle DURATION: For several years if stored in non-humid environment, away from sources of light and heat STORAGE METHOD: Once the bottle is opened, if it is closed with its mushroom cap and kept in the fridge, it will keep well for a few weeks
