Cinque Lustri Irpinia Rosato D.O.P. 2021 – Nativ

Among the vineyards of Irpinia, from the Latin Hirpus-wolf, a young Aras girl roamed around some time ago, a lover of the wonderful bunches of grapes. Her father, a farmer from Irpinia, had given her this name thinking of the ara, the unit of measurement of agricultural surfaces, in which the girl had been born 25 years earlier from the great love with his wife, in the same year in which the vineyards in that place.

Her desire to live in nature led her to explore those wonderful places even at night when the sun went down and the only thing to illuminate the landscapes were the stars. One autumn night, while she was savoring the sublime nectar, she saw a shadow and ran away scared. The following evening, intrigued and provided with a candle, she went to the same vineyards and it was at that very moment that she saw an animal, a wolf, doing what she also liked very much, secretly eating the grapes. For evenings the two met in that place, in the green Irpinia, and in those nights the affection multiplied. This has happened for years, in the autumn period, Aras and Hirpus did not miss their appointment. One day he grew up and his meetings with Hirpus ended. Her faithful friend never returned the following autumns to that vineyard, but her love for the land, for the grapes, for that vineyard, forever reminded her of their friendship, enclosed today in the bottle of Cinque Lustri.
