View: intense red with purplish and purple hues. Nose: scent of red fruit, blackberry and cherry jam, hints of violets. Appreciable nuances of vanilla, cocoa, hazelnut, leather, licorice and black pepper. Winemaking: selection and harvesting of the grapes by hand, long maceration of the skins at a controlled temperature. Refinement: initial refinement in stainless steel tanks with subsequent stay in large barrels, until reaching a structural complexity necessary to support further evolution in small barrels. This procedure fixes and enhances the congenital fruity peculiarities of the Montepulciano grape.
