Production Area Vineyards located in the municipality of Controguerra, in a hilly area at 250 meters above sea level with South-East exposure. Loose medium-textured soil. Grape variety Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 70% Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 30%. Grapes grown in counter espalier with spurred cordon pruning, with a yield of no more than 90 quintals of grapes per hectare. Production Technique Hand-picked grapes, after crushing and destemming are sent to maceration in fermenters at a controlled temperature. The pressing of the pomace takes place in a soft way, with pneumatic machines. The just ready wine is aged for a minimum of 12 months in large oak barrels and barriques, followed by a further period of refinement in the bottle. Color Intense red with slight purple hues. Bouquet Rich and intense bouquet. Spicy with fruity notes of cherries and fresh black cherries. Taste Full, soft, with a balanced and elegant taste sensation.
