Lidia e Amato Wines
Land that has been cultivated with love for over two centuries, rich in family history and guarded from generation to generation. Ancient vines that express the aromas of the place and the knowledge of traditions. Vineyards managed with passion and care in a natural, non-invasive cultivation regime.
Lidia e Amato have chosen to name each wine after a grandchild; Elena, Greta, Riccardo and Sebastian or as in Daan and Palù alternating the initials of the children. This is to leave future generations a legacy to pass on, Forty is no exception, produced from a family clone in a vine over 40 years old.
Its name in English means forty but in Italian it sounds like 'strong', also indicative of a strength of will that has led an established cardiologist and his Lady to transform a hobby into a successful reality. A strong and robust characteristic that also manifests itself in the Montepulciano Docg Riserva to which Amato has given his name. An important wine cared for with love, knowing how to respect the times to make a unique product.
Lidia, on the other hand, has chosen to give her name to Controguerra Bianco, a wine produced using the vines destined for the production of her nieces' wines.
Welcome to their 'wine boutique' where day-to-day management respects what nature gives, where technology looks towards the future, but also where they never forget their roots and value in quality.
