Fermentation takes place in oak barrels, where it undergoes a lengthy aging process that can last up to 36 months.

In addition to Amarone, the Arcole denomination also produces other highly regarded red wines, such as Valpolicella, a light, fruity, and very elegant wine, and Ripasso, a fuller-bodied, more intense wine.
