Discover the enchanting Arcole denomination: a pearl of Italian history!

Italy is a land of wines, rich in history and winemaking tradition. The Arcole appellation is one of these vast production areas, and it's a pearl of Italian history! Located in the Veneto region, at the foot of the moraine hills in the province of Verona, the Arcole appellation is one of Italy's oldest appellations.

For those unfamiliar with the Arcole appellation, it's a production denomination established in 1966 and encompassing approximately 1,500 hectares of vineyards. The area is one of the oldest and most historic in Italian winemaking, with a tradition dating back to the 16th century.

The Arcole appellation produces primarily red wines, although white and rosé wines are also produced. Red wines are the most popular and are made from Corvina and Rondinella grapes, but also from other varieties such as Oseleta, Corvinone, Molinara, and Negrara.

The wines produced in the Arcole appellation are all high-quality and are among the most popular in the Veneto region. They are wines with great personality, with great structure, full body, and excellent aromatic persistence.

When discussing wines produced in the Arcole appellation, it's impossible not to mention the world-famous Amarone. Amarone is a full-bodied and intense red wine, made from Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara grapes. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels, where it undergoes a lengthy aging process that can last up to 36 months.

Amarone is a rich and complex wine, with an intense and persistent bouquet. It can be enjoyed alone or paired with meat dishes, cheeses, and cured meats, and is one of the most sought-after wines of the Veneto region.

In addition to Amarone, the Arcole denomination also produces other highly regarded red wines, such as Valpolicella, a light, fruity, and very elegant wine, and Ripasso, a fuller-bodied, more intense wine.

The Arcole appellation is one of the oldest in Italian winemaking, a gem of Italian history that offers high-quality wines, rich in flavor and with a remarkable personality. If you're looking for high-quality, prestigious wines, then the Arcole appellation is definitely an excellent choice!
