The Arcole denomination is located in the Veneto region, at the foot of the morainic hills in the province of Verona, and is one of the oldest Italian denominations.

For those unfamiliar with the Arcole denomination, it is a production denomination that was established in 1966 and which includes about 1,500 hectares of vineyards. The area is one of the oldest and most historic of Italian wine production, with a tradition that dates back to the distant 16th century.

The Arcole appellation mainly produces red wines, although there are also white and rosé wines. Red wines are the most appreciated, and are produced with Corvina and Rondinella grapes, but also with other grapes such as Oseleta, Corvinone, Molinara and Negrara.

The wines produced in the Arcole appellation are all of high quality, and are among the most popular wines of the Veneto region. These are wines of great personality, with a great structure, a full body and an excellent aromatic persistence.

When it comes to wines produced in the Arcole denomination, it is impossible not to mention the very famous Amarone. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels, where a long refinement process takes place which can even exceed 36 months.

Amarone is a rich and complex wine, with an intense and persistent bouquet. It is a wine that can be appreciated both alone and accompanied by meat, cheese and cured meat dishes, and is one of the most sought-after wines in the Veneto region.

In addition to Amarone, the Arcole denomination also produces other highly appreciated red wines, such as Valpolicella, a light, fruity and highly elegant wine, and Ripasso, a more full-bodied and intense wine.

The Arcole denomination is one of the oldest in Italian wine production, a pearl of Italian history capable of offering wines of great quality, rich in flavor and with a great personality.
