VARIETY Sangiovese 65%, Sagrantino 15%, other red berried grapes 20%
SOIL TYPE Medium clay, medium alkaline, very well drained.
AGE OF THE VINEYARDS The vineyards are aged from 16 to 22 years.
VINIFICATION Maceration: on the skins for about 15 days and two pumping over a day. Fermentation: in stainless steel tanks of 50 hl, at 25 ° C.
TRAINING SYSTEM Spurred cordon.
COLOR Intense and brilliant ruby red.
BOUQUET Fruity on the nose, with hints of berries and dark pulp fruit.
PAIRINGS It goes perfectly with land cuisine, with red meats or game, but also with robust first courses. Excellent with norcina spaghetti.
TASTE In the mouth it is structured and harmonious, rightly tannic and characterized by an excellent persistence.
NOTES Tradition cannot be inherited, but must be conquered with great effort. And this achievement proves to have been achieved in the Montefalco Rosso DOC of this winery.
AGING 8 months in steel, 12 months in oak barrels and then in the bottle.
