The promise and commitment to produce an exceptional and quality wine began even before the approval of the law in 1968 which established the controlled designation of origin of wines. Santoleri wines have the mark of Denomination of Controlled Origin (DOC) as well as the sub-area "Crognaleto" to indicate a territory particularly suitable for the production of wines that best represent the vine and the territory, enclosing everything in a few bottles. extends over 30 hectares of vineyards, conducted with practices aimed at promoting maximum respect for nature and fruit. The fertilizations are exclusively organic. The Crognaleto vineyard is mainly composed of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo (80%) and Trebbiano d'Abruzzo ( 20%), grown with the awning system as well as very small quantities of Pinot Blanc. At the beginning of each season, weather conditions suitable for producing an excellent wine are avoided. When this happens and our prayers are answered, the Santoleri company succeeds to produce 40,000 bottles of wine a year.
