GRAPES Chardonnay. PRODUCTION AREA In the heart of the province of Chieti, between the Maiella National Park and the Adriatic Sea. SOILS Hilly, with an average altitude of 230 meters above sea level, mainly clayey limestone. MARKETING PERIOD January / February of the year following that of harvest. VINIFICATION AND AGING Short cold maceration of the crushed grapes, soft pressing and fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS Straw yellow with greenish and brilliant hues. Strong aromas of exotic fruit, banana, citrus and delicate notes of yellow flowers. Fresh, soft and pleasant. Medium-bodied and good persistence. SERVING SUGGESTIONS Excellent with all fish-based cuisine, from fish and shellfish appetizers to seafood risottos, it also goes well with light first courses and delicate meat-based dishes. Excellent as an aperitif. ALCOHOL CONTENT 12% alc./vol.
