Vinification: hand-picked grapes, after crushing and destemming they are sent to maceration in fermenters at a controlled temperature. The pressing of the pomace takes place in a soft way, with pneumatic machines. The wine then ages for more than a year in large Slavonian oak barrels and over six months in the bottle. Description: intense and dense red color with violet reflections, it has a rich and fruity bouquet with spicy notes of pepper, vanilla and sweet tobacco. On the palate it is full, soft and balanced. Recommended pairings: game, red meats, aged cheeses.
Production Area Vineyard located in the municipality of Controguerra on a hill at an altitude of 250 meters with South-East exposure. Loose medium-textured soil. Montepulciano d'Abruzzo grape variety 100%. Grapes grown in counter espalier with spurred cordon pruning. Yield of no more than 80 quintals of grapes per hectare.
