Cerasuolo is the traditional house wine of the Abruzzo people; the everyday wine obtained from Montepulciano grapes fermented with the skins for a short time in order to extract little color and few tannins; it is the wine that in the common diction is called "red" that is "red cerasuolo" or color of the "cerasa - cherry".

The Passerina grape is the native Trebbiano variety of our province. It was traditionally grown in the areas closest to the sea and has the typical characteristic of the Trebbianos of being able to make large productions; naturally, with non-intensive breeding and adequate pruning, production is limited and very interesting wines are obtained.

It is the simple "Red" wine of our territory; we are close to the Marches and therefore it is natural to have here in addition to Montepulciano also Sangiovese which is the most typical red grape of the province of Ascoli with which we border.

The Pecorino grape is a white grape that was traditionally grown on the inland hills of our province, suited to a cooler climate and in clayey soils. Production had almost been abandoned due to poor production yields.

Nino Bianco is the wine dedicated to Giovanni Faraone, the last of 3 brothers, therefore Giovannino, for friends Nino. His passion for white wines and for experimenting led him in 2000 to plant half a hectare of Falanghina. Not exactly a native of our region, but a very interesting grape common in central/southern Italy. The idea was precisely that of being able to play with our other two native grapes, Passerina and Pecorino, to make a white wine that broke the mold and the rules, combining the power of Pecorino, the acidity of Passerina and the minerality of Falanghina .

After years of trials, in 1983 we asked for and obtained authorization to produce sparkling wine; we were the first in our region to the extent that we received from the competent authorities for Abruzzo and Molise the acronym VSN1/TE (Natural Sparkling Wines n° 1/ Teramo).

With the new Collepietro farm and above all with vines of a few years, we didn't think we could produce long-aging sparkling wines.

Produced with Montepulciano grapes harvested in mid-October, it underwent more than 15 days of maceration in steel vats. It was then left to mature for 5 years in large 30 hl wooden barrels. It was bottled in the spring of 2018. One of the best vintages, its validity is estimated for over twenty years.

It is produced with Montepulciano grapes, fermented at a controlled temperature in steel vats. After fermentation it underwent refinement in large wooden barrels for a period of 24 months and was then bottled. It is wine for 15/20 year olds.

It was in 1971 that we registered in the DOC register the rows of white grapes we had with the denomination of Trebbiano, grapes that we actually called "Uva Passera"; then we discovered that the official denomination was "Passerina", in any case from the Trebbiani family as confirmed by ampelographs and today also by DNA analyses. The grapes were pressed, cold macerated, fermented at low temperatures. Bottled in March 2017.

An intense garnet red wine, rich bouquet of ripe fruit with spicy notes and a pleasant hint of almond. In the mouth it is full, austere, rightly tannic, soft and balanced, with a typical final liquorice scent.

A straw yellow wine with greenish reflections. The nose combines intense notes of fruit with pleasant floral sensations, typical hints of dried herbs. In the mouth it is dry, fresh and balanced, sensations of fruit and particularly refreshing.

A very clear cherry colored wine. The fruity sensations are predominant on the nose with particular recognition of undergrowth fruits and ripe cherries. In the mouth it is fresh and well balanced, it finds slightly tannic notes that do not betray the origin from red grape variety.

It is the first wine produced by our company. An elegant and personal interpretation of the Montepulciano of our territory, it is obtained from gradual harvests, followed by further selection on the table of choice, carried out throughout the Loreto Aprutino vineyard.

Our activity is limited to the cultivation of a few native vines, which we love to vinify in purity to try to characterize them as best we can in our territory in relation to the individual vintages.

The nose reveals a hint of wood and intense, clean, pleasing and refined aromas of peach jam, banana, broom, apple, hazelnut and plum followed by a pleasing aroma of vanilla. The mouth has good correspondence to the nose, a slightly round attack however balanced, pleasing crispness, good body and intense flavors. The finish is persistent with good flavors of apple, banana and plum.

Our desire to experiment always leads us to look at the vines we grow with new eyes to try to grasp sides that we have not yet explored. We were fascinated by the idea of working with Montepulciano grapes to make a more complex version of Cerasuolo. Notari Cerasuolo was produced for the first time with the 2020 harvest after a few years of research where we conducted some micro-vinifications on various proprietary vineyards.

Each family in Abruzzo has its own tatone. Confidential and affectionate appellation for the grandfather, the tatone actually represents a fundamental figure in the traditional family structure, to which age and maturity confer authority, prestige and wisdom. Our Tatone is like this too: a mature and complex Montepulciano dAbruzzo, to which 24 months aging in large Slavonian oak barrels and 3 months in the bottle gives balance and elegance, with aromas of fruit and spices supported by an excellent structure and accompanied by a long persistence. The love and passion for cooked wine is lost in the mists of time. A faint memory comes to mind, grandfather Piacentino who at the beginning of summer prepared the oak wood to be seasoned. It was supposed to feed the fires which, under the copper pots, were supposed to slowly cook the must, obtained by pressing the bunches of Montepulciano personally selected by the grandfather. From the refinement and subsequent maturation in wooden barrels, the cooked wine would have been born after a few years from the cooked must

The cooked wine has an authentic taste and is rich in aromas. It comes from Montepulciano grapes, reduced by more than 70% with a boiling process, mixed according to ancient recipes with the flower must, aged 10 years in wooden barrels.

The complexity of this intense ruby red wine, sensual and enveloping, is expressed in the bouquet that immediately recalls withered flowers and red fruit jam. A pleasant spiciness of licorice, black pepper, cloves and vanilla emerges with toasted hints of coffee and tobacco. Maximum Expression: 12-15 years. Vinification: Short drying in the vineyard, permanence of 20 - 22 days on the skins with pumping over in the air, followed by static decanting in large barrels. Subsequently the wine is left to refine for 12 months in 50 hl barrels and 12 months in barriques and then rests for 12 months in the bottle.
