The name "Nerie" is linked to the name of a valiant Etruscan leader. In the archaeological excavations carried out in Villalfonsina in 1914, many artifacts were found that highlight the presence in the 6th-5th century BC of trade with the Etruscan area. Among others, bronze statuettes depicting a knight on horseback and a red impasto olla bearing the silhouette of the same knight and the inscription “ne” (probable abbreviation of the individual name Nerie). The label of our “Nerie” is inspired by a bronze disc with the aforementioned rider on horseback in relief. The wine shows a deep straw yellow color with golden hues and greenish reflections. Floral, aromatic, very pleasant on the palate, it is full-bodied, structured, persistent and with excellent freshness due to the consistent acid structure of the grape.

Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Colle Secco Rubino by Cantina Tollo is presented after 24 months in oak barrels in the glass in a dark ruby red color. The nose reveals aromas of dark berries, accompanied by a delicate spicy aroma and a hint of vanilla. Pecorino grapes are harvested in the early hours of the morning , during the second ten days of September. The grapes are softly pressed and then fermented at a controlled temperature in steel tanks.On the nose our Pecorino opens with great aromas of white peach, pear, pineapple, fuji apple and acacia flowers. It is perfect for an elegant aperitif with a selection of soft and semi-soft cheeses accompanied by spicy vegetables.

They say that the colour also plays its part, here a beautiful bright and deep ruby, while the range of aromas offers notes of rose, strawberry, cherry, blackberry, blueberry and a subtle hint of blood orange. The taste shows all the expressive thrust of Montepulciano, with a freshness comparable to that of a white wine, the fruitiness is full and enriched by nuances of cocoa and liquorice, the tannin has that slight bite that serves to remind us that it is not a 'little wine', that it does not last a year and that at the table it can also hold up to dishes of a certain structure and fatness.

Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DiRè is produced on the hills of Mozzagrogna, in Abruzzo. It is produced exclusively with Montepulciano grapes, harvested by hand and macerated at a controlled temperature for 30 days, after which the soft pressing takes place. After a short natural decantation, the wine rests in oak barrels for 12 months and is then placed in the bottle, where it is refined for another 90 days.

All’olfatto si esprime con note di piccoli frutti rossi (fragoline di bosco e lamponi) accompagnato da sentori agrumati e di melograno. In bocca è verticale: sapido, fresco con una chiusura morbida. Abbinamenti consigliati: primi piatti a base di pesce, piatti vegetariani e ottimo anche come aperitivo e per accompagnare fritture di pesce.
