In fact, examples of tholos can be found in various areas of the Mediterranean: from the Mycenaean civilisation to Etruscan tombs, from Roman buildings to Sardinian nuraghi, to the trulli of Puglia, also belonging to the same category of ancient and often sacred constructions.
This name, so ancient, so noble, so ancestrally linked to the land and the genius of man, seemed perfect for our most prestigious wine. Carefully selected Montepulciano dAbruzzo grapes generate this complex and powerful cru, aged for 18 months in new barriques and 12 in the bottle, with great structure, elegance, balance and long persistence.
