Bolgheri Superiore

Realizzato nel 1989, questo grande vino è il simbolo della cantina e una delle etichette più rappresentative del bolgherese. Nato come classico taglio bordolese, diventerà un Cabernet Franc in purezza nel 2001, conquistando ben presto un clamoroso successo. Il nome richiama quello di un'erba spontanea della costa toscana, a simboleggiare identità territoriale e caparbietà nel raggiungere ogni traguardo.

Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc e a volte una piccola quota di Petit Verdot, per rappresentare l’eleganza, la complessità e la struttura del terroir bolgherese. Viene prodotto dal 1990 da vigneti situati su un suolo di origine alluvionale, da argillo-sabbiosi a argillo-limosi, con presenza di agglomerato bolgherese.

Deep ruby red in color, the wine has hints of ripe fruit on the nose, with spicy notes of licorice and cocoa. On the palate it is full, dense, with silky and enveloping tannins.

The Bolgheri Superiore di Campo al Faro was born in Castagneto Carducci, in the heart of the magical Bolgheri terroir. The Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes that make up the blend are hand selected. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks with temperature control and long maceration on the skins.
