Il Franciacorta Satèn Vintage Collection di Ca' del Bosco nasce in vigneti situati tra i verdi paesaggi e le dolci colline di Erbusco, nel cuore del magico terroir della Franciacorta, la culla morenica a Sud del lago d'Iseo. E' prodotto al 85% con uve Chardonnay, al 15% con uve Pinot Bianco, raccolte unicamente a mano durante la prima e seconda decade di Agosto. La fermentazione avviene secondo il metodo classico con rifermentazione in bottiglia. Successivamente il vino affina sui lieviti per 48-52 mesi. Il Satèn Vintage Collection è caratterizzato da un colore giallo paglierino. Al naso si apre con profumi di pesca ed agrumi, arricchiti da piacaevoli sentori di miele. Al palato risulta elegante, piacevolmente fresco e sapido, con una delicata effervescenza. Perfetto per accompagnare antipasti, affettati e salumi, è ideale in abbinamento a piatti a base di pesce e crostacei.

The art of wine as an instant of life in itself, a masterpiece child of that talent that only a few men know how to achieve, in which dedication and skill merge in the magical and arcane union with nature. Infinity in a drop, the fruit of a slow, devoted and meticulous passion. Men, like lands, have a vocation. So it was that a boy of about fifteen had the dazzling intuition of what a life lived in the light of its fulfilment could be. The meeting between the very young Maurizio Zanella and the sweetness of Franciacorta, when his mother moved to Erbusco and planted the first vineyard, was the first contact of what would be the love of a lifetime. But it was after a trip to Champagne, whose destination was the famous maisons where the wine that has always fascinated and fired the imagination was born, that Maurizio returned with the unshakable idea of creating something similar. What was once a house surrounded by a forest of chestnut trees was transformed into one of the most modern and advanced wine cellars in Italy. Since then, a single principle has defined the essence of Ca' del Bosco: the quest for excellence.
The gate and the vineyards
Welcoming the guest is first of all the imposing gate of the estate: not a simple opening and closing device, but a bronze work by the famous sculptor Arnaldo Pomodoro. The work, 'Cancello Solare', is intended as a joyful and powerful tribute to the one who represents the true, primary nourishment of the grape. Once you enter and reach the top of the main hill, you are greeted by the vast park of oaks, chestnut trees and acacias, where as you stroll, you enjoy splendid views of the surrounding vineyards and the entire valley. An ideal way to enter into the spirit of this land, where haste is banished and beauty still has the prominent place it deserves.
TECHNOLOGY
A visit to the cellars is certainly a unique experience, allowing you to fully grasp the dedication with which each stage of production is followed, under the banner of careful craftsmanship and the most refined technological intervention. Grape cooling cells, handling in the absence of oxygen and without beating, "flying" tanks that allow gravity decanting and innovative bottling lines conceived and designed by Ca' del Bosco, are just some of the technological steps shown along the tour.
THE REFINING
Long corridors and underground cellars lead the visitor along a path leading to the stone dome, considered the heart of Franciacorta Ca' del Bosco. Silence, darkness, natural humidity and temperature cradle the fermentation of wines in the bottle, maturation in small oak barrels and ageing. 'In the cellar, wine leads an underground life, secret but guarded,' writes Michel Dovaz. It is the time spent here for ageing together with the dedication of the cellarers that skilfully bring to completion the painstaking work begun in the vineyard.
