The unstoppable quartet of brothers Bruno, Diego, Giorgio and Giuliano Muratori are never satisfied with the numerous goals they have achieved. It all began in 1999, from the idea of the Arcipelago project originated by Francesco Iacono, oenologist and vice-president of the company, which includes four "islands", that is, four companies located in different territories but united by a historical-technical-philosophical vision: Villa Crespia, head office in Adro in the Brescia area, where the Franciacorta line was born; Rubbia al Colle , the second reality located in Suvereto in the province of Livorno, in the heart of Val di Cornia DOC; the third company is Oppida Aminea, located in the Sannio area of Benevento, at the foot of Colle Amineo, where wines based on Fiano, Greco, Falanghina, Coda di Volpe and other typical varieties of the area come to life; the latest addition is Giardini Arimei, located on the island of Ischia where, needless to say, the grapes that have always reigned in this little Campania paradise, such as biancolella, forastera, uva rilla, sal lunardo, coglionara.
But as I was saying, at Muratori we never stop, so a new line, TuttoNatura, was born in Suvereto ( Rubbia al Colle ), which underlines Francesco Iacono's intent to offer wines not only from the territory, but also in respect of environment and man: no synthetic pesticides in the vineyard or chemical additives in the cellar, no added sulfur, spontaneous fermentations without the addition of selected yeasts. The use of microbiological consortia (mycorrhizae, fungi and bacteria which naturally constitute the rhizosphere) is absolutely fundamental, which favor a greater balance of the microbiological life of the soil, enrichment of organic substance, increase in the root extension of the vines (up to 700-800 times), greater root absorption of macroelements (N, P, K) and microelements present in the soil (even those not directly accessible from the root system of the plants themselves), reduction in the need for mineral fertilization and run-off, therefore reduction in pollution of the aquifer, increased tolerance of vines to drought and immune capacity, use of only microorganisms for plant defense. Finally, all cellar activities are produced exclusively with the use of solar energy.
