TERRITORY AND CELLAR
History
On a high hill in Tuscany, not far from Siena and Perugia, stands the ancient town of Cortona. On one side the spacious plain, on the other the hill and the village. This is the view enjoyed from the Santa Cristina cellar, founded in 2006 to confirm and renew the tradition of its homonymous wine, more than 70 years after the first vintage. Over time, Santa Cristina has become a point of reference for industry experts , and more, thanks to a constant commitment to quality. Just like a good story, it is a timeless Tuscan classic with a contemporary taste. different wines but characterized by the same artisan style, the result of an indissoluble link between the vineyard, the terroir and the work of man.
The Cellar
The Santa Cristina Cellar, built on a project by the Hydea studio of Florence, has a modern architectural structure conceived according to criteria of minimal environmental impact in respect of the surrounding area. The cellar owes its name to the red Santa Cristina , a historic wine which for over 70 years is the symbol of the company. The structure is designed to accompany the grape from the vineyard to the individual steps of fermentation, refinement and bottling, up to packaging; the advanced technology, combined with a careful and continuous search for quality, strengthen and fortify the ancient tradition and the love for one's land.
