Avane is obtained only from Chardonnay grapes, coming from the vineyards located in the municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga that grow on a medium-textured soil, rich in skeleton and clay of calcareous-marly origin, coming from the disintegration of the Alberese and del Galestro and resting on rocks: an area with a favorable microclimate, in which Chardonnay expresses aromatic freshness and breadth to the taste. The grapes are harvested manually in crates, in the coolest morning hours. A pre-fermentation maceration follows at a temperature of 8 ° C. The fermentation takes place partly in steel and partly in oak barrels and then the wine is refined in the bottle for a few months. On the occasion of the "Mother's Day" San Felice , a historic company with over 140 hectares of specialized vineyards located in the Municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga in the heart of Chianti Classico, offers Avane Igt Toscana 2018 , the ideal wine to celebrate such a special day, in which you can breathe the air of early summer. Obtained from Chardonnay grapes, it opens with a complex and persistent bouquet that releases hints of citrus, white flowers and strong notes of broom and acacia. A new white from our range produced entirely with Chardonnay grapes from a single vineyard, which due to the characteristics of the soil and microclimate was not ideal for Sangiovese. The label depicts a decoration present on an Etruscan vase found, together with other finds, following some archaeological excavations within our estate.
