This wine is a dream chased for years. From Tenuta Perano, strongly desired by my whole family, we chose the Rialzi farm, which rises from the others thanks to three characteristic natural steps. The Toscana Rosso IGT “Le Volte dell ' Ornellaia ” by Ornellaia is an intense wine with a thousand facets, with a great structure capable of combining softness and vivacity like few others. Refines in used barriques for a period of about a year, resulting in a very broad intense ruby red wine: black cherry, blackberry, red and black pulp fruit, with spicy side dishes to make everything even more persuasive. Intense ruby red to the eye. It offers hints of black cherry, blackberry and ripe dark pulp fruit on the nose, enriched with mineral and spicy tones. In tasting the tannins are still very gritty, and communicate that they are ready to support the wine at least until the next decade. Excellent persistence and fruity closure. A prestigious label from the Prunotto winery. It boasts the classification of Barolo DOCG. The highest honor. It is produced with 100% pure Nebbiolo grapes as required by the strict disciplinary. The vinification foresees that the grapes, selected in the vineyard and de-stemmed, are immediately pressed. Maceration lasted about 15 days, at a maximum temperature of 30 ° C. The malolactic fermentation ended before the end of winter. This is followed by a long period of aging for 24 months in oak barrels of different capacities (27-53-77 Hl) which give the wine maturity and balance. The further refinement in the bottle lasted 12 months and took place in the Prunotto cellars before being shipped to the market. The Bussia vineyard resides in the Municipality of Monforte at an altitude of 350 meters above sea level. It is exposed to the South. The soils are from the Tortonian period and are characterized by the presence of S. Agata marls and fossils. Rich is the presence of compact limestone clays alternating with sandy layers.

Refined and intense, structured and persistent , it is obtained from Chardonnay grapes with a small percentage of Grechetto, a native grape that brings acidity and binds it even more to the territory. The vinification takes place in Allier and Troncaise barriques, where the wine then matures for six months before being bottled and left to refine for another 10 months.

Ruby red, intense notes of plum, cherry and raspberry are perceived on the nose, combined with notes of undergrowth and spices. Its roundness and thickness stand out on the palate. A wine of great pleasure and depth, characterized by an exuberant fruit aftertaste. For the whole meal, it goes well with rich first courses typical of Tuscan cuisine. Red wine of great impact with a bright color of intense hue. The nose is rich and concentrated with a fruity aroma well preserved in intensity and sweetness, where you feel the contact with the balanced and well-dosed wood. In the mouth it is enveloping, soft and round with a present but silky tannin. The characteristic acidic structure makes Badia a Passignano 2007 a pleasant wine of undoubted longevity, suitable for a long stay in the bottle.
