Typical plant of the Mediterranean scrub, also known as the 'manna tree' due to its precious biblical lymph used as an ancient sweetener, the Orniello or 'Faxinuns Ornus' alludes with perfect correspondence to the sweetness of Ornus dell' Ornellaia .

Le Serre Nuove dell ' Ornellaia is a full and refined red wine from Bolgheri. "Secondo vino" by Ornellaia , was born in 1997 from the decision to make a further selection in the blending phase of the base wines that give life to Ornellaia . The harvest took place by hand in 15 kg crates and the bunches were selected on a double sorting table.
