A Natural and Revolutionary Philosophy
The winery is now run by Francesco Paolo Valentini, son of the charismatic Edoardo, who led the quality revolution in the early 20th century. Francesco Paolo is a wine artisan who sees the vineyard as an extension of his own soul. “The real work is done in the vineyard, I do little in the cellar,” he often says, summing up a natural, non-interventionist philosophy that respects the rhythms of nature. No selected yeasts, no chemical manipulation: here, the wine is free to express the true identity of the Abruzzo territory.

Valentini cultivates some of the most iconic grape varieties of Abruzzo: Trebbiano d’Abruzzo, grown here for over 1,000 years (already mentioned by Pliny the Elder), and Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, robust, deep, and extraordinarily expressive. The selection is extremely strict: if a vintage does not meet the winery’s high standards, it is not released to the market.
