FEDERICO MENCARONI

Federico was born and grew up in Corinaldo and after spending the middle years of his youth away from his town, for study and work, in 2010 he decided to return to the family business and to persevere in the countryside despite the serious difficulties linked to globalisation and agricultural work that requires dedication, patience and long waiting times, in a world where instead everything is born, grows and disappears in a very short space of time.

His pride, his love for where he comes from and his passion for wine keep him tied to this piece of land, where the winemaking traditions and knowledge passed down from his grandfather Urbano and uncle Nevio, have landed in techniques and more skilled hands. Over the years he has realised that no one is born with talent, but that this grows if you surround yourself with vines, wines and cellar, you have to become part of the life of the vine and the land; the vine suffers to produce good grapes, the vines are very rational and intelligent, their cultivation is purely academic and does not involve anything artistic. Federico can be defined as a wine craftsman, craftsmanship characterises the entire philosophy and production cycle, the ideas and their subsequent realisation are born and developed entirely in the company, starting from the oenological experiments up to the bottling and labelling of all the resulting products.
