The great Supertuscan, proud and lonely as a wild in his territory.
This exceptional red wine is a rather recent expression of the potential of Argiano viticulture compared to its Sangiovese-based red wines. 'Solengo', which in Tuscan means 'solitary boar', comes from the combination of Tuscan soil and French blends: Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot and Syrah. It is the result of the "creation" of the former world-famous winemaker Giacomo Tachis who now continues in the work of the Argiano team. SKU: 2448

Aged 30 months in large oak barriques, this wine is only released after a long refinement in the bottle. Of an intense ruby red with already some garnet reflections, it immediately reveals its varietal and tertiary character through a bouquet of black cherries, sweet spices and smoky notes. In the mouth it is very dense, with an extraordinarily rich fruit. Very savory in the center of the palate, its gourmand side is balanced by the freshness of mentholated notes. The round and well ripe tannins contribute to the extraordinary persistence of the finish. It is undoubtedly one of the best wines of this DOC.
