Founded in 1989 on the southeast side of Montalcino, in 2011 it became part of the ColleMassari family. It extends for 44 hectares of which 16 are planted with Brunello and 4 hectares with olive trees. The vineyards extend along a hill from 200 meters up to 400 meters above sea level. Protected by Monte Amiata, open to sea breezes, the property enjoys an important microclimate. The lands are trained with spurred cordon, with a yield of 30-35 quintals per hectare due to a very strict selection of the grapes. The selection and harvest is done manually. Spontaneous fermentation takes place in 70 hl truncated cone-shaped wooden vats, with long macerations and frequent pumping over. Aging takes place in 30 hl Slavonian oak barrels, from 24 months for the Rosso, 42 months for the Brunello to 52 months for the Riserva. A period of refinement in the bottle follows. The company follows the criteria of organic cultivation.
