Primitivo from a single vineyard, this wine is made to preserve the excellent and natural sweetness typical of the Primitivo grape.Primitivo has the same origin as Zinfandel, both from Montenegro (former Yugoslavia). The first reached southern Italy between Puglia and Basilicata, the other reached California before prohibition.Their DNA is the same and Primitivo has the very round and smooth structure found in the best expressions of Zinfandel.The nose is like opening a jar of ripe cherry jam, followed by floral notes and wet black stones.On the palate it is soft, long and persistent with the layers of a fruit jam.
