La Duchessa is a Chianti Riserva made from 100% Sangiovese grapes Aging: After a 12-day rest on the skins, it then ages for about 14 months in barrels Colour: Ruby red with very light garnet textures Aromas: Wide bouquet of dried red flowers, dark berry fruit such as cherry, raspberry, blackberry. Spicy notes of cinnamon, nutmeg and black pepper, juniper notes with balsamic undertones. Taste: Warm, soft, velvety, fresh with good acidity.
This charming chianti every day takes its name again from a song by Sting - When We Dance. With 95% Sangiovese blended with Canaiolo and Colorino, the alcohol content is 13%. When We Dance is a magnificent ruby red color and has a balanced and soft palate. Perfect to combine with traditional Tuscan recipes.
Red wine of great impact with a bright color of intense hue. The nose is rich and concentrated with a fruity aroma well preserved in intensity and sweetness, where you feel the contact with the balanced and well-dosed wood. In the mouth it is enveloping, soft and round with a present but silky tannin. The characteristic acidic structure makes Badia a Passignano 2007 a pleasant wine of undoubted longevity, suitable for a long stay in the bottle.
Dense ruby color with garnet reflections. The nose expands sensations of plum, mulberry, violet, and then unraveling on wild and licorice tones. In the mouth, warm and enveloping, it declines sumptuous softness and caressing tannins. Ideal together with the silverside with mustard and prunes or on the stuffed roast in a crust.
Produced entirely with native grapes, Sangiovese mainly with additions of Colorino and Pugnitello, it is a typical Chianti Classico, of medium structure, with a strong personality that stands out in particular for its elegance. The vinification takes place in the traditional way, with medium length maceration, followed by a maturation of the wine for 12 months in Slavonian oak barrels.
Only the best Sangiovese grapes selected in the company's Chianti Classico vineyards make up this Reserve, a valid combination of tradition and modernity. It ages for about 24 months in wood, of which a part (about 20%) in barriques, and one year in bottle. The label depicts a famous painting by Titian 'Man with armor'.
Already towards the end of the 70s, in the locality of Poggio Rosso, some selected clones of Sangiovese were planted several times. Poggio Rosso is the result of a careful selection of this grape from some plots of the vineyard of the same name and today represents the excellence of the San Felice terroir. Wine of great concentration and elegance, produced in limited quantities and, especially in the best vintages, it ages for about 20 months in 500-liter tonneaux and another 12 months in the bottle.
Poggio Scalette 's Chianti Classico is the most representative and memorable image of the magical hill of Ruffoli, in the sub-area of Greve in Chianti, from which this red comes to life. On the nose it presents the typical hints of violet, cherry and red fruits, while on the palate it surprises with juiciness and powerful acid shoulder, with a pleasantly savory length and a perfectly integrated tannin in the sip.
