Domaine De Montille. The wines of De Montille. The origins of the family date back to the mid-17th century, located at Créancey in the Auxois region. The domaine was officially founded in 1750. It was renamed 'de Montille' after the union of Marie Eléonore Chauvelot de Chevannes and Étienne Joseph Marie Léonce Bizouard de Montille, Hubert's grandfather, on 9 April 1863. Hubert de Montille (b. 1930) took over the reins of the domaine after the war.
