From 100% Pinot Nero grapes, coming from French slips planted in 1998 in Fèlsina in a vineyard of 2.50 ha, in the Podere Molinuzzo area. The soils consist mainly of sand and silt with a good stony and limestone component.
Denomination Typical Tuscan Geographical Indication. Grape variety 100% Pinot Nero. Production area Grapes from the vineyards of Felsina, in Castelnuovo Berardenga, north-east of Siena. Vines per hectare 5400. Training system Simple Guyot. Harvesting Only by hand in 20 kg crates. Whole and partly crushed grapes. Maceration for about 15-18 days without exceeding 28-30 ° C. Maturation in small capacity oak barrels for 12 - 15 months. Subsequently, the assembly and bottling takes place, in which the wine will refine at least 8/10 months before being marketed.
