BROLO OF CAMPOFIORIN 2016

The Veronese Rosso Campofiorin of Cantina Masi was born in 1964, in the vineyards located on the gentle Veronese hills. It is produced from Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand. This wine gives life to a new category of Venetian wines inspired by the Amarone technique. Its production method was defined by Hugh Johnson as "ingenious technique". It is characterized by an intense red color. The nose opens with an elegant fruity bouquet of ripe cherries, enriched with sweet spices. The palate is rich, accompanied by notes intense with berries and with a good persistence and soft tannins. Perfect to combine with first courses with sauces rich in meat or mushrooms, it is ideal to accompany game, grilled red meats, savory roasts and aged cheeses.

AMARONE RISERVA COSTASERA 2015

This Amarone Riserva represents a special selection of Costasera, the gentle giant of Masi . It is a point of reference for the Amaroni category, which together with Barolo and Brunello represents the aristocracy of Italian reds. The Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes, with small additions from the rediscovery Oseleta, are left to overripe on bamboo racks, followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature and aging for at least 3 years in noble wood. In the glass it is cloaked in a beautiful impenetrable dark red. The olfactory bouquet is intense, with hints of overripe red fruit, cinnamon and vanilla. The palate is warm and persuasive, with notes of cooked fruit, sweet spices and a long, dry finish. Perfect with red meats and game, it is ideal with aged cheeses or to be sipped at the end of a meal.
