TYPOLOGYIGT Toscana Rosato
PRODUCTION AREAMagliano in Toscana ( Grosseto )
VINIFICATIONThe vinification process is carried out using the "salasso" method. The grapes, destemmed and without sulphites added, are placed in a steel vat to macerate for a few hours; the must is then drawn off from the base of the container, which, in the meantime, will have taken on its characteristic pink colour. After chilling the mixture, spontaneous fermentation in steel is initiated. This is followed by short ageing in cement vats.
COLOURBrilliant soft pink
PERFUMEDelicate and floral, with fresh hints of small red fruits and mineral nuances
PAIRINGSExcellent as an aperitif, accompanying sushi and fish carpaccio. Also perfect with rice salads and mixed platters, it is at its best with almond and salmon canapés.
TASTELively, fresh and fruity, pleasantly savoury.
NOTESBetween the 1960s and 1970s, the cultural movement of hippies coined the term Flower Power to symbolise their philosophy of life and thought. This Toscana IGT from Podere 414 appropriates this expression to indicate the characteristics of a straightforward, dynamic, energetic rosé produced in great harmony with the nature from which it comes.
