WINE MAKING
"While making wine, I imagine I am making a magic potion. An antidote to sadness, a balm for old wounds, a drink that does not make one forget, but forgives. An existential declaration. A message of unconditional love from me."
The amphora wine. The historical inspiration.
The history between wine and terracotta amphorae does not begin with us. The Greeks, the Romans - and before them the Caucasians as many as 7,000 years ago - transported and stored wine in these organoleptically 'zero-impact' containers, ideal for slow and constant oxygenation. Today, we draw on the wisdom of the ancients to continue our path of quality and naturalness, through a critical and non-nostalgic reinterpretation of traditions. Our amphorae are a means and not an end
of our work, the objective of which is to offer wines that are first and foremost products of culture, the fruit of a deep attachment to the territory. This is why we have chosen to have them handmade by an artisan from Impruneta, the home of terracotta work in Italy. Each amphora has a capacity of about 800 litres and is fitted with a stainless steel manhole cover to limit contact with oxygen. Our amphorae, today as in the past, are the wise guardians of our wine and our work.
