Our history
The structures of the Salviano Estate and the Titignano Castle were built in the Middle Ages by the Montmarte family. In the early 1800s, the entire property, covering over 2,000 hectares, was purchased by the Corsini family. The estate, which historically has its decision-making center in Salviano, under the guidance of the Corsini family became a thriving company specializing in the production of wheat, tobacco, olive oil and wine. As testified by sources of the time, at the beginning of the 20th century the white wine of Salviano was already widely known, in Italy and in the world, for its quality.
In the second half of the 1900s, the Marquise Nerina Corsini inherited the estates of Salviano and Titignano from her father. After her marriage to the Marquis Enrico Incisa della Rocchetta, already a producer of the famous Sassicaia, a project to modernize the estate was launched. Since 2015 the estate has been managed by his son, Marquis Giovanni Incisa della Rocchetta and his wife Marchesa Tara, who with renewed energy and resources have built infrastructures and re-founded the corporate culture. The Salviano estate is now the center of wine production and the Castello di Titignano with its Borgo is an important agriturismo and an extraordinary location in the heart of Italy.
