ORIGINS
The origins of Tenuta Morganti date back to 1953 when Gino Morganti, having returned from Venezuela, decided to settle on the family farm in Torano Nuovo and began planting the first vineyards of Montepulciano d' Abruzzo and Trebbiano d' Abruzzo. Later, helped by his wife Pepe Antonietta and their children Mirma and Nazareno, he enlarged the farm.
He was already producing an excellent wine, and also thanks to his passion for beekeeping, delicious honey.
In 2014, the farm passed into the hands of her granddaughter Gaia who, as soon as she came of age, realised that she belonged here and decided to restore and reopen the farm, giving it a more youthful feel but without distorting it, all under Mirma's careful supervision. In the meantime, she does not stop studying and will conclude her studies in 2020 by becoming a Master's Degree in Foreign Languages and Literature.
In 2018 Sveva, the youngest member of the family, started working for the company, but it was only after completing her degree in Social and International Sciences and Policies that she decided to return and actively help out in the company
But the sisters' idea doesn't end with simply restoring what was already there; in fact, they expand the company's offer by also dedicating themselves to hospitality, but also in a way that is not taken for granted.
What comes out of this is in fact a particular idea, having guests stay in barrel-houses, i.e. wooden barrels that have a room and even a private bathroom inside.
As of today, Tenuta Morganti consists of almost 6 hectares and provides a well-rounded production ranging from wine, to EVO oil, honey, seasonal products and everything else that our imagination puts to use.
