Centorame 's Montepulciano Castellum Vetus Centorame made from 100% Montepulciano grapes grown in the Atri area, in the province of Teramo, at an average altitude of 200 meters above sea level. The vineyards of origin are exposed to east-west and insist on clayey soils, of medium texture. After harvesting and soft pressing, the grapes were fermented with a long maceration of 30 days in contact with the marc. The refinement took place for 15 months in 225 liter French oak barrels characterized by medium toasting and fine grain. Before being marketed, Centorame 's Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC Castellum Vetus rested for 12 months in the bottle.

Abruzzo is a region with excellent wine production, and it is here that the company Centorame led by Lamberto Vannucci, who represents the third generation, is headquartered in Casoli, also known for its characteristic murals, in the province of Teramo, in the lower Vomano River Valley, about 8 kilometres from the Adriatic Sea, at an altitude of 180 metres above sea level. The company was founded in 1987 by Vannucci's father, but in 2002 it was possible to start the process of innovation, which led to the enhancement of the vines and production in the cellar. In fact, the vineyards are located on about thirteen of the company's 19 hectares, which are then subdivided into different cultures: olive groves, cherry orchards, with a part dedicated to mixed cultivation and a part dedicated to a photovoltaic system that can guarantee enough clean energy to meet the company's needs.
(CASOLI DI ATRI - TERAMO) Lamberto Vannucci runs his winery in Casoli in the province of Teramo following the principles of biodiversity and producing red and white wines from native Abruzzo varieties such as Montepulciano, Trebbiano, Pecorino and Passerina
The History and Philosophy of Centorame
Abruzzo is a region with an excellent wine production, and it is here that the company Centorame led by Lamberto Vannucci, who represents the third generation, is based in Casoli, also known for its characteristic murals, in the province of Teramo, in the lower valley of the Vomano River, about 8 kilometres from the Adriatic Sea, at an altitude of 180 metres above sea level. The company was founded in 1987 by Vannucci's father, but in 2002 it was possible to start the process of innovation, which led to the enhancement of the vines and production in the cellar. In fact, the vineyards are located on about thirteen of the company's 19 hectares, which are then subdivided into different cultures: olive groves, cherry orchards, with a part dedicated to mixed cultivation and a part dedicated to the photovoltaic system that can guarantee enough clean energy to meet the company's needs.
The grapes used are the native varieties of Montepulciano, Trebbiano, Pecorino and Passerina, which are perfectly suited to the hills of Casoli, consisting of clayey, compact soils with excellent exposure and a temperate microclimate. The combination of the remarkable production techniques and the perfect combination with the winemaking tradition of Abruzzo has enabled this company to produce a range of quality wines that respect the environment and biodiversity.
