Sicilia Nero d'Avola Riserva DOC Sciarra Soprana is among the most representative labels of the Vito Curatolo Arini winery which, since the end of the 1800s, has dedicated itself to the production of typical wines of the Sicilian land and in particular those of the province of Trapani, where they home to its vineyards. In the hilly area near Sciarra Soprana, then, the ideal microclimatic conditions are created for the ripening of quality grapes, thanks to the presence of the right ventilation, the heat and the proximity of the sea as well as a terroir that contributes to the correct concentration of sugars , favoring the balance of acidity. This Sicilia Nero d'Avola Riserva DOC Sciarra Soprana comes from the typical native Nero d'Avola vine in purity, with an intense ruby red color, which is complex and full-bodied on the palate. After a traditional type of hand-picking, the wine is left to rest for at least 9 months in French oak barrels and it is in this phase that it acquires all the organoleptic characteristics that represent it. In the glass it has a really dark, almost inky colour, varietal spiced notes emerge on the nose, as well as berries; a nice body and a pleasant enveloping taste, where it expresses intensity, strength, I would even say complexity and above all a length, therefore a surprising final persistence.
