After a few years of experimentation on the vines with the aim of achieving a high quality wine, Rosso di Montalcino is born. A 100% Sangiovese that with the 2012 vintage joins the production of the other two wines of the estate: the Brunello Pian delle Vigne and the Riserva Vignaferrovia. Tenuta Pian delle Vigne is located 6 km south of Montalcino, above the Val d'Orcia and takes its name from a characteristic 19th century railway station located within the estate. The company consists of about 184 hectares of which about 65 are planted with vineyards with a predominantly south-east exposure and an altitude between 130 and 200 meters above sea level.

Nebbiolo "Occhetti" comes from an alcoholic fermentation in steel of carefully selected grapes, from an average maceration of 7 days and, finally, from an aging in large barrels for 14 months and in bottle for 4 months. It has a fine ruby red color, with a hint that is already visibly garnet. Time knows how to appreciate this extraordinary Nebbiolo very well. On the nose there are notes of small ripe red fruits of the undergrowth, cherry jam, licorice, delicate spices. An excellent balance. On the palate the wine is harmonious, soft, with pleasant tannins and a long and exciting finish. A Nebbiolo with great personality.

Cuvée Royale is born from the selection of the Chardonnay, Pinot Nero and Pinot Bianco grapes of Tenuta Montenisa, for a cuvée with a new and precious harmony, with great expressiveness and elegance. The permanence on the yeasts exalts its intense perfume with notes of white peach, bread crust and yeast. It has a pale straw yellow color and a creamy foam with a fine and persistent perlage. On the palate it is balanced and enhances the typical liveliness of Brut.
