Per questo vino utilizziamo solo uve accuratamente selezionate, vendemmiate su terreni particolarmente vocati con rese minime. La gran parte delle uve proviene dalle nostre zone di produzione di Girlan, caratterizzate da terreni morenici molto ricchi di scheletro (roccia porfirica) che conferiscono al vino il suo tipico aroma, pienezza e persistenza. Le uve restanti provengono dalla microzona Eppan Berg nel comune di Appiano, più fresca rispetto a Girlan (il sole tramonta prima). Terreni limo-argillosi su roccia calcarea conferiscono al vino freschezza e sapidità.
