Only the best of the grapes and only in the best years, with exceptional aging on the yeasts for a minimum of 72 months.

The Franciacorta Brut Rosé DOCG from the 1701 cellar is produced with Pinot Noir grapes from the "Collina" vineyard, raised according to the principles of biodynamic agriculture. The grapes of this vineyard, thanks to an excellent exposure, have a very high concentration of anthocyanins, perfect for maceration on the skins. The harvest is exclusively manual, and the grapes are selected by expert eyes and hands. After a short maceration on the skins, a first fermentation takes place on indigenous yeasts in steel tanks. This is followed by a second fermentation with a minimum stay of 30 months on the lees.

Brut Nature which has a pale straw yellow color, with an extremely fine and persistent bubble. The nose reveals fresh and elegant citrus notes, chamomile, Golden apples and a fragrant, persuasive finish. Great harmony and balance is revealed when tasted. On the palate it is striking by definition and by its ability to be creamy and full of momentum at the same time. This Franciacorta is a Classic Method made up mainly of Chardonnay grapes and a small percentage of Pinot Noir. The grapes are harvested by hand, with subsequent destemming and first spontaneous fermentation in steel containers, with pied de cuve of indigenous yeasts. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle with aging on the lees for 30 months.

Making quality wines that are both innovative and traditional is the goal we set ourselves from the very beginning, in 2011, when we bought the winery from the Conti Bettoni Cazzago family. The Cantina's name, 1701, is due precisely to the first vintage of a wine produced from the 'Brolo': an evocative walled domestic vineyard dating back to the 11th century. History repeats itself, because today from that same vineyard - in the splendid setting of Palazzo Bettoni - we obtain an extraordinary Blanc de Noirs.

THE FIRST BIODYNAMIC FRANCIACORTA.
As a confirmation of our convictions and our daily commitment to put them into practice, in 2015 the winery obtained organic certification, and in 2016 Demeter biodynamic certification: for the first time for a winery in Franciacorta. We are also part of two important natural wine realities: "Renaissance des Appelations", the association created by Nicolas Joly that brings together around 160 producers around the world who adhere to biodynamics; and "Vi.Te - Vignaioli e Territori", for those who believe in wines as an authentic expression of their terroir.
