Tenuta Morganti 's Montepulciano d'Abruzzo in Anfora was born in Torano Nuovo in the province of Teramo, from vineyards located at an altitude of 240 meters, immersed in the splendid Abruzzo hills, one step away from the sea and two from the mountains. Gaia and Sveva, the lively third generation of the Morganti family who run the company, have chosen to dress their bottles with the colorful designs of the well-known cartoonist Nando Perilli. The Montepulciano grapes ferment in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature for about 20 days, then age for 8 months in terracotta amphorae, and another two months in glass. Only 900 bottles of this wine are produced each year.
