Born in 1989, it takes its name from the small Sossò stream that rises at the foot of the hill from which the grapes come. The result of a careful selection of Merlot and Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso with a small contribution of Pignolo, it is the result of meticulous vinification of grapes produced from old Rosazzo vineyards. A wine of great complexity and structure, it is characterized by elegant, ripe, fruity and sweet tannins.

Di Manzano reports in the “Annals of Friuli” of 1390 that “the Roman ambassadors offered twenty igastariis (containers) of Refosco wine to the Dominican general”. Bred mainly in the Cappuccina style, the vines of our Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso benefit from soils composed of marl and sandstone of Eocene origin.
