Production area: Abruzzo, Basilicata and Sicily Vinification: The grapes are hand-picked when perfectly ripe and vinified separately to best respect the peculiarities of the individual characteristic varieties. After a soft pressing, the grapes undergo a cold maceration for 12 hours. The musts are then cold decanted, the Pecorino ferments in large 50hl barrels not toasted, the Fiano and the Grillo ferment in stainless steel, at temperatures between 10-12 ° C. The historical value of the tombs and its findings linked to the consumption of wine is above all one: that the place was ideal for cultivating the vine, as it is today, already three thousand years ago.

The Cinque Autoctoni by Fantini Farnese is born in vineyards located in the Abruzzo municipalities of Notaresco and Ortona and in the Apulian municipalities of Sava and Manduria. It is obtained from a skilful blend of Montepulciano, Primitivo, Sangiovese, Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera grapes, native to Abruzzo and Puglia, harvested and selected entirely by hand. Fermentation takes place, with maceration in contact with the skins, in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for 25 days. After malolactic fermentation in barrique, the wine ages for 13 months in the same containers, before being bottled.
