Carefully selected Montepulciano dAbruzzo grapes generate this complex and powerful cru, aged for 18 months in new barriques and for 12 in the bottle, with great structure, elegant, balanced and long persistence. An ancient vineyard gives rise to Shamà n. Created every year from the selected harvest of the best grapes, sufficient to produce a single 50hl barrel, it has as protagonists the oldest vineyards of the estate. Dense, garnet color, visually occupied by an extraordinary extractive richness, deriving from late harvest in the vineyard. It surprises the nose for its full fruit integrity, for its hints of harmonious woody tannin and for its incomparable aromas. Full and round, it offers unparalleled sensations of tannic elegance to the mouth.
In 1601 " Il Feuduccio ", formerly the county of teate, was a land held in the state property by Baron Bohemond II of Manoppello. The Torrente Venna, which gives its name to this red with a varietal character coming from the young vineyards of the company, was already the lifeblood for the farmers who cultivated the lands of the Feuduccio.
The complexity of this intense ruby red wine, sensual and enveloping, is expressed in the bouquet that immediately recalls withered flowers and red fruit jam. A pleasant spiciness of licorice, black pepper, cloves and vanilla emerges with toasted hints of coffee and tobacco. Maximum Expression: 12-15 years. Vinification: Short drying in the vineyard, permanence of 20 - 22 days on the skins with pumping over in the air, followed by static decanting in large barrels. Subsequently the wine is left to refine for 12 months in 50 hl barrels and 12 months in barriques and then rests for 12 months in the bottle.
