The olfactory impact is characterized by juniper and pink pepper, on a base of ripe and dark fruit, plum and cherry jam, there is also a hint of licorice and hints of cinchona and tobacco. The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo of the La Valentina winery is a pleasantly fruity red wine with a pleasant consistency produced in Spoltore, in the province of Pescara , in Abruzzo. This label is obtained from 100% Montepulciano grapes from vineyards in the municipalities of Spoltore, San Valentino and Scafa, located at about 150-400 meters above sea level with south / south-west sun exposure. The vines, aged between 25 and 35 years, are grown with the spurred cordon method on medium-textured soils characterized by clayey soils.

A STORY STARTED IN 1990
Fattoria La Valentina was founded in 1990, in the town of Spoltore, in the hills near Pescara. In 1994, after a few changes between partners, it was we, Sabatino, Roberto and Andrea Di Properzio, who bought the entire company. Between the vines and the cellar, our work began, in close contact with nature and its fruits.
HEALTHIER AND TRUE WINES
We began to better understand our land by caring for it and respecting it. The result? Qualitatively healthier and truer wines. Animated by the certainty that true quality improvement must take place with absolute respect for organic balance, season after season, we have rigorously applied a philosophy that leaves aside the unbridled use of chemicals and technology.

In short, we have set ourselves the task of intervening as little as possible in nature's processes, sharing the idea that "the prerequisite of the DOC is the vine's mark on its grapes".
