Also known as Traminer Aromatico, Gewürztraminer was already known in the thirteenth century for its aromatic qualities and its ability to drink, and is today, without a doubt, the most famous and well-known South Tyrolean wine in the world. In all likelihood its origins are to be found in Termeno (Tramin), from which the name "Traminer" derives.
Rich in sodium, albite is a typical mineral of the Alps, in particular of Valle d'Aosta, Piedmont and Alto Adige, where it finds the ideal subsoil for its development, proving to be a faithful ally for the vine. This Sauvignon is proof of this, presenting itself as the perfect synthesis between territory, climate and grape variety, thanks to its typicality which, in combination with albite, gives life to an authentic, complex and characterful label, capable of perfectly combining, to the gentleness of citrus and floral tones, an important structure and a strong minerality.
Pinot Noir Matan grows in the most prestigious areas in Montagna for this vine. Thanks to the terroir, this wine is characterized by character, elegance, delicacy and aromatic notes. The considerable temperature range between day and night, which characterizes the ripening phase of the grapes, makes this robust dark red wine, with an aroma of wild berries, particularly structured.
Long-lived and refined Gewürztraminer with an intense fruity aroma of rose with notes of exotic fruits. White wine with shades of color from straw yellow to gold, delicate and balanced on the palate.

Il Lagrein ha un aroma fine e gradevole che richiama il profumo della viola. Il gusto è pieno, vellutato e leggermente asprigno. Si conserva a lungo. Si abbina bene a grigliate di carne, arrosti, selvaggina e formaggi piccanti.
Il Pinot Nero, “Blauburgunder” o “Pinot Noir”, è uno dei vini rossi più apprezzati ed ambiziosi. È anche un vitigno che non si adatta a qualsiasi condizione e costituisce sempre una sfida sia in vigna, che in cantina. Grazie ai suoi profumi raffinati ed al suo carattere inconfondibile gode di grande prestigio. Nelle colture più fresche, ma anche soleggiate di Appiano, il Pinot Nero sviluppa il suo pieno potenziale generando un vino corposo ed elegante.
Il Moscato Rosa della cantina San Michele Appiano colpisce per la sua spiccata eleganza e gli aromi seducenti. Si presenta con un colore rosso rubino chiaro e leggeri toni arancioni. La sua struttura importante ed uno stimolante rapporto tra dolcezza ed acidità convincono il palato. Finale fresco e succoso.
Il Pinot Nero è uno dei vitigni coltivati più antichi. È un vitigno che richiede molta cura e rappresenta una vera sfida in vigna ed in cantina. Il Pinot Nero Riserva matura per un minimo di due anni in cantina. Il risultato è un vino elegante, che non teme il confronto con il panorama internazionale.
Oltre ad essere uno dei più antichi vitigni, il Pinot Nero è considerato uno dei vini rossi più pregiati. Coltivato da oltre 150 anni in Alto Adige, é uno dei vini rossi piú apprezzato. Grazie al metodo saignée (estrazione delicata del mosto), estraiamo un succo eccellente con il quale vinifichiamo un Rosé fresco, fruttato e di sorprendente acidità.
Dalle caratteristiche inconfondibili, il Gewürztraminer Fallwind si presenta intenso nel bouquet con una beva fresca e raffinata. Setoso al palato, è straordinariamente minerale e si esprime con note di frutta esotica matura, cannella e chiodi di garofano.
A partire dagli anni ‘80, questo vitigno dagli aromi intensi e marcati, è stato introdotto in modo esteso nell’Oltradige. I terreni pietrosi e calcarei ed il vento fresco di caduta, Fallwind, favoriscono la crescita di un Sauvignon vivace ed espressivo. Freschezza e delicata mineralità fanno del Sauvignon Fallwind un bianco di stile.
Questo vitigno di origine germanica ha trovato in Alto Adige un terroir di adozione ideale. Il Riesling ha bisogno di condizioni particolari e predilige il clima fresco e soleggiato. Queste condizioni sono presenti nelle zone attorno al Lago di Monticolo ed in microzone limitrofe, dove i terreni porfirici donano al vino il suo carattere speciale. Il Riesling Fallwind si distingue per gli aromi fruttati e la freschezza minerale che ne fanno un fuoriclasse sempre più apprezzato.
Introdotto nella sua seconda patria – l’Alto Adige – già nel 1850, il Pinot Bianco è uno dei più importanti vini bianchi della nostra cantina. Imbottigliato per la prima volta nel 1982, lo Schulthauser è oggi tra i più conosciuti Pinot Bianco del panorama altoatesino. Un vino completo, finemente fruttato e fresco, in grado di sedurre il palato sia per la cremosa morbidezza, sia per la spiccata acidità.
Con l’attributo di Passito s’intendono quei vini ottenuti da uve lasciate seccare all’aria o al sole, fin quasi all’appassimento. In Alto Adige ciò avviene quasi sempre in vigna, cioè i grappoli rimangono sulla pianta fino alla fine dell’anno. L’elegante Passito Comtess entusiasma per il suo frutto intenso, il corpo morbido e cremoso, l’ingresso ampio e il palato ravvivato da una nota di freschezza donata da un’acidità di razza. I freschi aromi giovanili, a fronte di una corretta conservazione in bottiglia, diventano via via più complessi tendendo in particolare verso delicate note mielate.
È nel 1989 che nasce il vino bianco più famoso della nostra cantina. Da più di 30 anni il Sauvignon Sanct Valentin beneficia di singole e selezionate parcelle poste sui pendii ai piedi della Mendola, per generare un vino di altissimo profilo. Dal frutto seducente, con eccellente mineralità e persistenza, questo vino è il più importante della linea Sanct Valentin ed uno dei vini bianchi più premiati d’Italia.
