The Cococciola variety, which has always been cultivated in this region, is not well documented from a historical point of view. In Italy it was underestimated, but in France, more than many years ago, it had already been classified by scholars from Abruzzo. Today, vinified with a single variety of rapeseed, it shows its full potential. A fresh and fruity white - in one word: authentic

Malvasia Colle Trà comes from a long Malvasia clone, native to the Vibratian territory with tight and elongated clusters. Due to its turgid and at the same time fragile grapes, it is more easily subject to rot, therefore it is not always possible to vinify it every year.
A small and delicately pale grape, Pecorino is happy from the higher altitudes to the foothills to the coast, and thrives in Abruzzo (though you'll also find it in the Marche, Umbria, Liguria and Tuscany). The grape itself has an exceptionally high sugar content and tends to reflect the terroir without reserve: it is both sensitive and expressive, not unlike Pinot Noir, so it is a grape for a patient and passionate winemaker. Another nice thing about Pecorino - especially for white wine lovers - is the complexity you can find in a relatively young and affordable bottle. In a similarly priced Pecorino, you will get much more than a two-dimensional crunchy Pinot Grigio or a slate Sauvignon Blanc you get character, evident terroir, a richer aromatic profile than what often accompanies "fresh" white wines - notes of fruits of forest, flowers, dried herbs, minerality, all balanced by an acid freshness and a slightly heavier mouthfeel (thank you, sugar)

Malvasia is the result of grapes selected and harvested manually when they are fully ripe. This is followed by delicate destemming and pressing, and subsequent alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 18-20 °C for a period of about 8-12 days. The wine then undergoes partial malolactic fermentation and ages in stainless steel tanks until the month of April following the harvest before being bottled and marketed. In the glass it has a bright straw yellow color. The bouquet releases an intense scented aroma of yellow fruit among which peach and apricot stand out, deliciously mixed with citrus aromas of mandarin and aromatic herbs. On the palate it is rich, soft and savory at the same time. In the glass Collio Ribolla Gialla shows a pale straw yellow color with slight greenish reflections.
